Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About WWE 2K23: Icon Edition

WWE 2K23 is a professional wrestling simulation-action game developed by Visual Concepts, sitting at the intersection of fighting game and sports management. It builds directly on the 2K22 relaunch that saved the franchise after the disastrous 2K20, and if you can think of it as a second-year iteration rather than a bold new release, you will set your expectations correctly and get a lot out of it. The in-ring engine is where the real depth lives. The light and heavy striking system, superstar-specific combo chains, and a reversal window that punishes greedy offense all combine to make matches feel more like a timed chess match than a button-mashing slugfest. Stamina management is a genuine variable: burn your signature moves early and you will pay for it down the stretch when the kick-out timing gets tighter. Speaking of which, the new pin-break mechanic lets you choose between classic button-mashing and a right-stick timing mini-game, which is a small but thoughtful concession to player preference. The Payback system adds another layer, letting you burn a one-time resource for instant kick-outs, quick recoveries, or even stealing an opponent's move, meaning every near-fall has a decision attached to it. Reversals are the steepest learning curve here, and that gap may frustrate newcomers, though the improved tutorial does a noticeably better job walking new players through nuances than previous entries did. The headline addition is WarGames: two rings inside a massive steel cage, 3v3 or 4v4, with entrants trickling in at intervals until all-out chaos erupts. It translates to the game better than it had any right to, giving you genuine room to work offense in both rings while absurd multi-person brawls unfold simultaneously around you. The mode suite beyond that is stacked. MyRise offers two separate story campaigns (The Lock for male created superstars, The Legacy for female), both written by former WWE writers, with branching paths and the ability to import a Community Creations superstar as your protagonist. MyGM lets you run your own brand and schedule shows, and while it stops well short of a full promotion-management sim, it provides the kind of light strategic loop that will appeal to anyone who enjoys the business side of wrestling. The 2K Showcase spotlights John Cena's 20-year career with a clever twist: you play as his opponents, controlling names like The Rock, Kurt Angle, and The Undertaker in their moments of victory over him. Universe Mode and the card-collecting MyFaction round out the package, though MyFaction is basically a card grind and, critically, its online servers were shut down in January 2025, removing the mode's competitive backbone entirely. That server closure is the most important piece of current-context information for buyers. MyFaction is now a single-player shell of its designed experience, and any online-dependent features are gone. If your interest is entirely in offline content, the loss is minimal. MyRise, MyGM, WarGames, Showcase, and the full Creation Suite (covering wrestlers, entrances, move-sets, championships, and custom PPVs) are all intact and offline. The roster sits at 246 superstars, mixing current stars with legends, and Community Creations continues to be the sandbox that keeps the game alive well past its release cycle. Commentary remains repetitive, some secondary superstar character models lack polish, and MyGM still feels shallower than a proper management sim would. But for an offline wrestling experience, the depth of decision-making across modes holds up well.
