I've put a solid 15 hours into Wardrum Rhythm Master Edition, and it's doing something genuinely different: each turn, you time your warband's attacks to a drumbeat, and missing the rhythm means a damage penalty. It's not a rhythm game masquerading as tactics, it's tactics with a mechanical spine that actually matters. The roguelite loop is tight: you run a tribal warband through a procedural fantasy world, pick new warriors, forge builds around rhythm synergy, and reset when things go sideways. Character progression and build variety are tight enough to make a second run feel different. The writing is sparse but flavorful, the controller support is solid, and there's real meat to figuring out which warrior combos work under pressure. It's not a 100-hour epic, but it doesn't pad itself out with fetch quests either. If you want a tactical game that respects your time and throws a fresh mechanic at the genre, this lands. Niche, but earned its Very Positive rating.
