About Timbertales
Timbertales is a turn-based strategy title where you pick between Sylvan or Insect factions and grind out tactical encounters in a forest setting. The core loop works fine in single-player: you chain abilities together for damage multipliers, manage positioning, and counter your opponent's setup. It's got the bones of a decent indie tactics game. The problem is the online multiplayer. Matchmaking is sparse (tier:sub-5 tells you everything you need to know about the player base), and the PvP doesn't feel balanced enough to carry a competitive scene. If you're looking for async or real-time multiplayer strategy with actual opponents, look elsewhere. Play this solo against the AI if you want methodical turn-based tactics without pretense, but don't expect the online component to be worth your time.
