I went in hoping for a Slime story that actually explored the Federation's politics rather than retreading the anime's plot beats. ISEKAI Chronicles is built on auto-battle foundations where you mostly watch Rimuru and crew fight while you manage cooldown timers and basic positioning. The combat feels detached, the pacing drags between story segments, and the dialogue leans entirely on show-watchers who are already familiar with every character arc. If you're a completionist fan, there's collectible value and some decent fanservice moments. But the Mixed Steam score (55% positive) reflects a hard truth: the game doesn't add enough mechanical or narrative depth to stand on its own. It's tolerable filler for the franchise, not a reason to boot up your PC.
