GamerScout Verdict
Solo campaign delivers; Arena PvP needs netcode work before the competitive grind is worth your time.

About Standalone: Synergy
I've sunk a few hours into Standalone: Synergy expecting a solid single-player card campaign. The rogue-lite structure works. You build decks across procedural dungeon runs, the voice-over narrative doesn't grate, and the strategic layer feels tactile enough to warrant multiple runs. Problem is the Arena PvP, which is where the game wants you to live post-campaign. The lag is noticeable, especially on cross-platform matches. Hitstun and response times matter in card games less than shooters, but it's still sloppy. If you're hunting a meaty deck-builder with campaign meat on the bones, this lands the job. Arena-focused players should wait for netcode polish or a player base large enough to support regional servers. The core card game is sound, but execution stumbles where it matters most.
