Shambles: Green Abyss
A scrappy expedition RPG that asks for a dozen slow hours before the worldbuilding clicks. Sequel players will get it; newcomers will bounce off the rough edges.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth it if you played the first Shambles and want slow-burn companion writing over polish; skip if you need momentum.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Shambles: Green Abyss
Before this one gives you anything, it wants your patience: hours of expedition prep, roster shuffling, and dialogue that unfolds at its own unhurried pace. I kept waiting for the hook, and it arrived late, somewhere around the point where the party members I'd recruited on a whim started talking to each other about things I'd done three expeditions ago. That is where Green Abyss earns its keep. The companion recruitment and party management systems aren't deep in a tactical sense, but they feed a story that actually tracks what you did and who you left behind. The cost is real. Presentation is rough, the strategy layer repeats itself once you've solved its handful of puzzles, and if you didn't play the first Shambles, a lot of the payoff lands as background noise. EXLIX is a small studio and it shows in the seams, not in the ambition. Come for the writing and the slow accumulation of consequence, not for combat variety or polish.
