This is the Risen equivalent of one of Skyrim's Creation Club trinkets: a small paid add-on, not an expansion, and it flat out needs Risen 3 (Complete Edition) installed to function, it will not run against the standalone base game. Piranha Bytes bolts on a bit of new territory to explore, tied to its own short quest thread and whatever gear comes with it. The listing data here doesn't spell out every item or mission by name, so check the store page for the exact rundown before you buy. If you already own Complete Edition and burned through the main campaign, this is a couple of extra hours of poking around a new corner of the map, nothing more. If you haven't settled whether Risen 3 itself is worth your time, sort that out first; there's nothing in Fog Island that stands on its own.
