About Polterguys: Possession Party
The first hour is a mess, and I want to be upfront about that. Eight players, one monster hunting them, and a possession system nobody explains properly means round one is mostly people yelling "what do I even do" while physics objects tumble around them. It clicks somewhere in round four. Once you understand that possessing furniture is both a hiding spot and a sabotage tool, the hidden-role tension finally lands, and the short session length stops feeling thin and starts feeling deliberate. It is built for eight-player chaos, split-screen or online, and it is honest about that. Solo is a courtesy mode, not a reason to buy, and the physics can occasionally hand a round to whoever got lucky rather than whoever played well. But the social deduction layer holds up because the sabotage is visible enough to accuse someone over and ambiguous enough to argue about afterward. Bring a controller. Bring a group. It does not work as a game you play alone at 2am, and it never pretends otherwise.
