I've never been the type to let a game run in the background, but Throne of the Herald makes the idle-RPG format feel less like digital busywork and more like legitimate character progression. The expansion adds new locations, gear crafting, and monsters without breaking what made the base game work: you can step away, come back to meaningful gains, and decide how much active input you want. The writing doesn't pretend to be anything profound, and that's fine, the expansion knows exactly what it is.
