About Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel
I went in expecting another roguelike romp through wave-after-wave combat, and Jotunnslayer delivers exactly that. You pick a Viking warrior, grab blessings from Norse deities as you level up, and survive increasingly dense enemy swarms across hostile realms. The core loop is solid: pick up relics, stack modifiers, watch chaos unfold. Split-screen co-op is the standout feature here, playing alongside a friend transforms what could be a lonely grind into something genuinely fun. The writing doesn't reach for anything ambitious, and the boss encounters feel like tougher waves rather than memorable showdowns. If you've exhausted Vampire Survivors and want a mythologically-flavored alternative without expecting revolutionary design, this hits the mark. Roguelike veterans will recognize every beat, but the execution is competent enough to hold your attention through a few runs.
