I, Gladiator
A 2015 arena brawler with a genuinely good parry system trapped behind an hour of terrible controls. Patient melee nerds only.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth it only if you'll grind through a rough first hour to reach a parry system that genuinely rewards patience.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About I, Gladiator
The first hour of this thing is a wall. The camera fights you, the menus feel like they were designed for a phone port, and your gladiator swings like he is wading through wet sand. I nearly bounced. What kept me going was the moment the combat clicked: parry timing here is real, not decorative, and once you stop mashing and start reading wind-ups, the arena turns into a proper duel. Dismemberment lands with weight. Weapon and armor loadouts actually change how you fight rather than just bumping a number, and the third-person melee has more depth than a Steel Monkeys budget title from 2015 has any right to carry. What it does not have is a story worth the RPG tag. Progression is arena after arena with thin connective tissue, and the padding shows by the back half. Cross-platform multiplayer exists and is a nice novelty, though the population question answers itself. Mixed reviews are the honest verdict: this is a rough, unfinished-feeling game with one very good idea in it. If you want a gladiator power fantasy with narrative teeth, look elsewhere. If you want a scrappy parry-and-punish sandbox and can forgive jank, there is a decent weekend here.
