I went in expecting a standard Neptunia spin-off and found a genuinely weird tactical layer buried under anime fluff. Maps are small but punishing: traps, elemental tiles, and status effects (including a literal "tofu" transformation) punish careless positioning. Lily Rank is the secret sauce, stack affection between allies and their damage multiplies, turning synergy into strategy rather than just flavor text. The writing leans hard into gaming in-jokes and meta humor that lands if you've played the source material, falls flat if you haven't. Combat is snappy, but the limited character pool and repetitive map design wear thin after a few hours. It's niche tactical comfort food for Neptunia completionists, not a gateway to the genre.
