GamerScout Verdict
Fun core concept strangled by netcode problems and player abandonment; only worth a shot with a full premade squad.

About Huntscape
I fired up Huntscape expecting a tense cat-and-mouse experience. The premise is solid: four Hunters track four Prey across a map, with Prey trying to survive and extract. Movement feels snappy and the asymmetry creates genuine tension when it works. Problem is the netcode hiccups on detection and hit registration are constant. Hunters rubber-band, Prey clip through terrain. The game launched in early access in early 2023 and the playerbase never recovered from a rough first impression. If you snag a full lobby with friends willing to overlook the technical jank, you'll have a session's worth of fun. Solo queue is dead. Without significant netcode rework and regular balance updates, this stays a niche curiosity rather than a shooter worth your time.
