Gods Will Fall is a punchy action game where you pick a squad of named villagers and hurl them at boss fights styled after different mythologies. Each god is a single-phase duel with readable attack patterns. The hook: if your fighter dies, they're gone for the run unless you rescue them first. It creates real tension and forces you to swap tactics mid-campaign instead of brute-forcing with one overpowered character. The combat is solid without being flashy. Hit detection feels fair, dodges have tight windows, and there's enough weapon variety to experiment. Visuals are clean indie-grade art. Where it stumbles: the boss gauntlet structure gets repetitive after 5-6 gods, and there's minimal progression between runs. It's built for short bursts and speedrunners more than 40-hour commitment seekers. If you like roguelike energy with mythology flavor and don't mind grinding the same fights for optimization, this scratches that itch.
