About For The King II: Fallen Oaths Character Pack (DLC)
For The King II is a hex-based roguelite RPG that blends tabletop aesthetics with punishing turn-based combat, and the Fallen Oaths Character Pack is a focused mechanical expansion rather than a story overhaul. What you are getting here is two new playable characters - the Fallen Knight and the Voidwalker - plus a bundle of supporting content that slots cleanly into the base game's solo and co-op modes. The Fallen Knight leans into the heavy-armor, high-stakes frontline fantasy. If you have spent any time theory-crafting warrior builds in For The King II, this character is clearly designed to reward players who like to stand in the fire and outlast it through sheer stubbornness. The Voidwalker sits at the other end of the spectrum: a darker, more esoteric archetype that fits the game's stranger lore corners. The new trait bundled with the pack adds at least one fresh dimension to build planning, and the additional mercenary means your party composition options expand in meaningful ways, not just cosmetically. The new weapons are worth paying attention to. For The King II's combat is tight enough that weapon selection genuinely changes how a run feels, so adding to that pool has real replay value - especially for players who have already cycled through most base-game loadouts across multiple campaigns. Whether the weapons land in the overpowered-fun zone or the situationally-interesting zone will depend heavily on how IronOak balanced them, and without a critical mass of community runs logged yet, that verdict is still forming. Where this DLC is less exciting is scope. Two characters and a handful of accompanying items is a modest offering, and players expecting new maps, a new campaign arc, or expanded lore will come away wanting more. The Fallen Knight and Voidwalker feel like additions built for existing fans who want more build variety, not a reason to return if the base game bounced off you the first time. If you are the kind of player who squeezes twenty runs out of a roguelite and still wants more flavor, this delivers. If you cleared a couple of campaigns and moved on, this probably does not change the equation. For co-op specifically, new characters always punch above their weight in For The King II, since party synergy is where the game's real depth lives. The Voidwalker in particular seems tailor-made to slot into a coordinated group that knows how to play around unconventional kits. Monika, Scout Team
