Evil Wizard
A snarky Metroidvania where you're the beaten final boss reclaiming your own castle. Short, funny, and smart enough not to overstay its welcome.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth a weekend if you want a funny, tightly-scoped Metroidvania and can forgive floaty boss fights.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Evil Wizard
Every spell you own is locked inside your own castle, and getting it back is the whole design. That inversion changes how you read the map: you're not learning a new kingdom, you're re-learning the rooms you built, and the guards who took the place over are squatting in your workshop with your gear. Rubber Duck Games leans hard into the joke of being a washed-up dark lord, and the writing lands more often than it should. The barbs at the heroes who "won" are genuinely funny rather than smug. The spell unlocks are the good part. Each recovered ability opens both traversal and a new combat rhythm, and the hand-drawn castle rewards backtracking with actual secrets instead of padding. Combat is loose, though, and the bosses ask for more precision than the controls comfortably give. It's a short run, and that's a mercy: the systems don't have the depth to carry forty hours, and it doesn't pretend otherwise. Go in for the voice and the map, not for build variety.
