GamerScout Verdict
For indie completionists only; everyone else should find a game with actual narrative hooks.

About Destiny Hunter
I went in expecting nothing and got exactly that, which is almost refreshing. Destiny Hunter is a two-character action-RPG where you control a female warrior and archer working toward a vague goal called "Destiny" (the writing doesn't elaborate much). Combat is turn-based, movement-heavy, and genuinely clunky, hitboxes feel negotiable and animations stiff. The story is minimal: you traverse cold environments, hit some enemies, advance to the next area. There's no voice acting, no party mechanics, no build crafting. It's bare-bones by design or accident; hard to tell. The game's actual strength is its honesty about scope. It doesn't pretend to be something it's not, and if you want a short, low-stakes adventure where you can finish in an evening, this delivers. But there's no character development, no environmental storytelling, no reason to care about reaching that "better place." It's a game for completionists hunting obscure indie RPGs, not for anyone expecting narrative or mechanical depth.
