Mechanical cosmetics that actually shift how your cards play - if you are already invested in Deck of Ashes, this skin pack is the rare DLC that earns its slot in your library.

I have spent enough time with Deck of Ashes to know that its roster of outcasts is the best reason to keep coming back. Each antihero brings their own card pool, their own story of guilt and ruin, and their own rhythm of play - so anything that meaningfully tweaks that rhythm is worth paying attention to. The Unique Character Skins pack does exactly that, and it does it in a way that cosmetic DLC almost never bothers to: every single skin ships with a passive status effect that directly changes how you fight. The specifics are worth spelling out because they are the whole argument for this DLC. Lucia's Priestess of Dragons skin triggers a Burn on every third Strike-type card you play, which opens up fire-combo lines that the base kit does not hand you. The skin for Sly, the Black Serpent rogue, slots into his stealth identity neatly - while you are in Stealth, Strike cards deal ten percent extra damage, which rewards committing to a low-visibility, high-output build rather than dipping in and out of Stealth for convenience. The Plague Lady variant cuts the mana cost of Disease-type cards by two, which sounds small until you realize the base game's Disease cards are already mana-hungry, and shaving two off them can completely change your turn sequencing. Buck's Ice Rage skin flips his Rage mechanic into a low-health multiplier, doubling Rage gains while under thirty percent HP - terrifying for anyone who likes to play recklessly close to the edge. Vampyro gives a fifteen percent Lifesteal chance on Strikes, and the Serpent Warrior alternate cranks your Dodge up by five percent at a twenty percent proc rate each turn, rewarding patience and positioning over brute damage. None of these effects are earth-shattering balance shifts - they are more like a second conversation with characters you already know. The base game's core loop, which asks you to manage the Ash Deck (your discard pile that also serves as a secondary resource for Ash-effect cards), still runs the same. What the skins do is nudge certain build archetypes into slightly higher gear. If you have already explored each character's standard campaign and want a reason to replay runs differently, these passives are a low-friction reason to do so. If you are brand new to the game, start with the base experience first - these effects will mean more once you understand the mana economy and know where each character's card pool naturally wants to go. The honest caveat is that Deck of Ashes itself carries some well-documented rough edges: the map exploration loop can feel repetitive over long sessions, the balance between single-enemy encounters and multi-enemy ambushes has drawn criticism, and the late-game sometimes loses strategic tension. This DLC does not fix any of that. It is purely additive, layering new mechanical flavour onto a game that has a ceiling. For players who hit that ceiling and stepped away, these skins are a reason to take one more run. For players still mid-campaign who love the card synergy puzzle, the passives give the theorycrafting part of your brain something extra to chew on. Monika, Scout Team

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
