Darkest Dungeon II: Inhuman Bondage
A focused DLC mini-region for Darkest Dungeon 2 that introduces The Abomination and a handful of new trinkets, but feels more like roster expansion than a meaty story chapter.
GamerScout Verdict
Solid roster expansion for Darkest Dungeon 2 completionists, but narratively thin, a few hours of new mechanics, not a story chapter.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Darkest Dungeon II: Inhuman Bondage
I went in expecting another deep dive into the Kingdom's lore, but Inhuman Bondage is leaner than that. The Catacombs are a short detour beneath the main map, think 3-4 runs to exhaust it, built around The Abomination, a new hero with mechanics tied to stress and transformation. His gimmick works, and the corrosive damage type adds a wrinkle to existing team compositions. The new trinkets slot into existing builds without reshaping strategy. What's missing is narrative weight. There's no quest arc, no companion dialogue, no reason to care about these catacombs beyond loot. If you're chasing roster completion or want to experiment with Abomination strategies, it's a solid Tuesday-evening purchase. But if you were hoping for something that deepens Darkest Dungeon 2's story the way the base game did, you'll feel the thinness. It's DLC in the classical sense: more content, less consequence.
