A scrappy twin-stick slasher where you mash buttons through arena waves with a friend on the couch, fun in short bursts, hampered by repetitive level design and thin story.

I went in expecting Binding of Isaac meets Hotline Miami, and what I got was closer to a Saturday morning arcade cabinet. You play Baller, a gladiator fighting for freedom across procedural-ish arenas, swinging whatever melee weapon drops and occasionally triggering a screen-clearing skill. The co-op split-screen is the star here: local multiplayer combat has genuine chemistry, and the weapon variety keeps early runs fresh. That said, the novelty wears thin fast. Levels blur together, enemy patterns repeat without escalating challenge, and the story (Baller's freedom arc) never justifies why you're grinding through the hundredth wave. It's a competent indie brawler with solid controller support and leaderboards for speedrunners, but it's built for 20-minute sessions, not the long haul. Best with a friend who doesn't mind repetition. Monika, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Solid couch co-op romp if you want 20-minute arcade thrills; skip if you need narrative depth or long-term progression.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
