Battlegun
A barebones cartoon shooter from 2017 that's still running but probably shouldn't be on your radar unless you're mining for dead netcode case studies.
GamerScout Verdict
A relic with no community. Pass unless you're archiving forgotten multiplayer experiments.

About Battlegun
Battlegun is a browser-era online FPS with cartoon visuals and exactly the feature set you'd expect from an early indie multiplayer shooter: room creation, team deathmatch across a handful of maps, and minimal progression. The core loop is functional if you can find a match, but we're talking 2017-grade netcode, hit detection that feels loose, and weapon balance that hasn't aged well. The TTK is forgiving enough that skill floor is low, but that also means engagements lack punch. Skip this unless you're specifically hunting for forgotten multiplayer fossils. The player base is tiny, matchmaking is a crapshoot, and the game hasn't evolved since launch. If you want a lightweight cartoon shooter with actual updates and a pulse, you've got better options that launched years after this one. Not worth the install.
