GamerScout Verdict
Solid local multiplayer throwdown for friends; skip the campaign and just deathmatch.

About Band of Outlaws
I went in expecting Robin Hood nostalgia and left with a straightforward 2D platformer that knows what it is. Single-player campaign moves you through England fighting Prince John's goons, but it's basically level-to-level busy work with standard platforming and melee combat. Nothing breaks, nothing frustrates, nothing grabs you either. The real meat is local multiplayer deathmatch. Up to four players, same screen, classic chaos. It's the kind of game you boot when friends are over and you want something low-friction to blame each other on. No ranked grind, no netcode anxiety, just pick a character and swing. Works fine for what it is. Not a deep roster, not balanced for esports, but solid for 20 minutes of couch fracas.
