For PvP, community modes like ClashPoint and WARMACHINE provide structured competitive experiences across both official and community-made terrains. The mission editor itself is, without exaggeration, one of the most powerful scenario-building tools ever shipped inside a game. Performance is the honest caveat. Arma 3 runs on Bohemia's Real Virtuality 4 engine, which is notoriously CPU-bound and single-threaded in ways that cause framerate dips under the load of large multiplayer missions, even on modern hardware.
