Age of Conan: Unchained - Hyborian Conqueror Collection
If you're already living in Hyboria and want the complete content map, this bundle rolls up every major expansion and scenario pack into one shot - but the health of the game underneath is the real question to ask first.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth it only if the free base game has already hooked you - don't buy expansions for an MMO you haven't tested first.

About Age of Conan: Unchained - Hyborian Conqueror Collection
I've spent time with Age of Conan across multiple phases of its long life, and the honest framing for this collection is: it's an unlock bundle for a free-to-play MMO that has been aging hard since roughly 2012. The Hyborian Conqueror Collection packages all post-launch premium content together - the full Rise of the Godslayer expansion, the Savage Coast of Turan adventure pack, Secrets of Dragon's Spine, Shadow of Vanaheim, and a cosmetic Spiked Cloak of Vapours vanity item. That is genuinely everything Funcom ever sold as additional content for this game, in one place. If you're committed to playing, that's a practical value proposition. If you're on the fence about the base game, this bundle doesn't solve that problem for you. What Age of Conan still does well, even now, is its real-time combat. Rather than the click-and-wait rhythms of most MMOs, swings here are directional - left mouse, right mouse, combinations - producing chains and attack patterns that require actual attention. It never stopped being more involving than tab-targeting alternatives. Rise of the Godslayer, the heaviest piece of this collection, adds the Khitan race, four full adventure zones inside the Khitai Empire, 12 factions with their own reward tracks, 17 solo and group instances, and the Jade Citadel Tier 4 raid dungeon. That's a real expansion by any measure, not a cosmetic top-up. Secrets of Dragon's Spine pushes into endgame territory with three Level 80 group dungeons - the Sepulcher of the Wyrm, the Coils of Ubah Kan, and the Slithering Chaos - plus Tier 5 and Tier 6 raid content in the Palace of Cetriss. Shadow of Vanaheim is lighter: four small-group instances that scale down to Level 20, rotating daily dynamic quests, and new faction rewards including vanity gear and a mount. Here's what the collection cannot fix: the population problem. Age of Conan's servers have been running on a skeleton crew of dedicated veterans and occasional returnees for years. PvP servers in particular have had a reputation for rampant cheating with no anti-cheat system in place, and Funcom has not addressed that in any meaningful way. The UI feels dated in ways that modern MMOs have simply moved past. Sieges are notorious for instability. If you're hoping to find a thriving community to run those 14 group encounters in Rise of the Godslayer with, expect some friction finding groups outside of peak hours - or any hours, depending on your server and timezone. The Savage Coast of Turan slot in the collection adds coastal city intrigue around Ardashir, which is narratively grounded in Robert E. Howard's world in a way that fans of the source material will appreciate. The lore fidelity across all of this content is genuine - this is adult, mature-rated sword-and-sorcery, not sanitized fantasy, and Funcom leaned into that throughout. The music and environmental design across the base game and expansions remain legitimately impressive, even measured against modern standards. The Hyborian Conqueror Collection makes sense for exactly one type of player: someone who has already played enough of the free base game to know they want more, and wants to stop buying pieces individually. For anyone coming in cold, play the free version first for at least a few weeks. If the combat clicks and the world holds you, this bundle is the clean way to unlock everything at once. If you bounced off the clunky travel system, the dated UI, or the thin population, no expansion pack changes that calculus.
