Corsairs Gold is a old-school naval trading and combat sim that drops you into the captain's chair with minimal hand-holding. You'll buy and sell goods at ports, hire crew, outfit your vessel, and engage in real-time sea battles. The appeal is pure sandbox freedom: plot your own course, strike merchant convoys, chase bounties, or just try to build wealth. Mechanics are clunky and the UI feels like it predates modern accessibility standards, but there's a specific charm to games that trust you to figure things out. This isn't for everyone. If you want streamlined tutorials or cinematic cutscenes, look elsewhere.
