The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 Almanac Edition
A 2015 point-and-click adventure that knows exactly what it is: charming, dialogue-heavy, and built for players who loved the first game rather than newcomers.
GamerScout Verdict
Solid for franchise fans; skip if you haven't played the original or dislike dialogue-heavy adventures.

About The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 Almanac Edition
I spent years away from Aventásia, so jumping back into Wilbur, Ivo, Nate, and Critter's world felt like reconnecting with old friends who still crack the same jokes. The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 doesn't reinvent the point-and-click formula, you'll hunt for inventory items, solve logic puzzles, and read a lot of snappy banter. What it does is execute that formula with genuine warmth and humor that lands more often than it messes up. The main draw here is the writing. If you bounced off the franchise before, this won't convert you. But if you're already invested in these characters, the Almanac Edition adds extra content that expands the story without feeling essential. Controller support and cloud saves make it comfortable for longer sessions. Fair warning: the puzzle logic occasionally feels obtuse, and newer players will probably feel lost in the character dynamics. It's a sequel through and through.
