Compare Psychonauts, Stacking, and Costume Quest Bundle prices across trusted key stores and find the best deal. Developed by Double Fine Productions. Published by Double Fine Productions. Released on 4/10/2013. Available on PC. Genres: Action, Adventure, Indie, Casual. Metacritic score: 87/100.

Three cult classics from Double Fine's golden age bundled together, if you've somehow missed them, this is the cheapest way to experience some of indie gaming's most inventive design.

I approached this bundle skeptical about whether three games from the early 2010s would hold up. They do, spectacularly. Psychonauts remains a masterclass in level design wrapped around a genuinely funny mental-hospital adventure, each mind you explore is a completely different genre, from noir detective films to 1950s suburbia. Stacking is a Matryoshka doll puzzle game where you inhabit nested characters to solve environmental riddles; the art direction alone justifies playing it. Costume Quest trades action for a paper-thin combat system, but the Halloween-night trick-or-treating charm and character writing make those turn-based battles feel earned, not tedious. What ties them together isn't the mechanics, they're wildly different, but the handcrafted earnestness. Double Fine's comedy writes itself into the fabric of these games instead of winking at you constantly. The soundscapes are deliberately paced, sometimes slow, but they know what they're building toward. None of these overstay their welcome, and all three have aged better than you'd expect from 2010-era indie games. Kai, Scout Team
