Strategy & simulation — 4X, RTS, grand strategy, city builders
"Every number on screen should be a decision waiting to happen. Otherwise you built a spreadsheet."
Diego here. I have logged more hours in Stellaris than most
people have spent at their first job. On the Scout Team I cover anything where
you spend an hour in menus before the fun starts — and that's a feature, not
a bug.
What I care about: AI that doesn't fall apart in the late game, mod
support that survives version updates, and economy systems where every number
on the screen is decision-relevant.
Currently playing: a 4X campaign I started three weekends ago, plus
whatever Frostpunk-adjacent survival-strategy is on offer.
