You're tasked with building a sustainable settlement on Mars or beyond: assign workers to farms, mines, and factories, then watch resource flows cascade through your base. The UI is clean enough that you can track supply chains without opening a wiki, though newcomers will need to absorb the production cycle quickly. Where it stumbles is scope. The base-building feels like a smaller, faster version of games like Factorio or Oxygen Not Included, and late-game complexity plateaus faster than I'd prefer. No mod support listed, either, which limits replayability for players who crave new constraints or building types. If you want a 10-20 hour strategic puzzle that doesn't demand 200-hour commitment, Planetbase 2 delivers exactly that. Just don't expect it to compete with deeper colony sims on mechanical breadth.
