I picked this up expecting a definitive RTS anthology. What you're actually getting is the original Command & Conquer, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2, Generals, and Zero Hour in one package - plus expanded missions and bonus content from the franchise's peak. The real-time combat still has teeth, and the cheesy FMV cutscenes are genuinely charming if you grew up with these games. The catch: this collection was assembled in 2010, and it shows. The UI hasn't aged gracefully, pathfinding can be frustrating, and jumping between six different game engines highlights how uneven the pacing is across campaigns. If you're a series veteran hunting nostalgia or a strategy fan curious about RTS history, the breadth here is solid. For newcomers expecting modern QoL, you'll hit a wall fast.
