EA SPORTS™ College Football 25
After an 11-year absence, college football is back on consoles and it mostly delivers, though the mode depth lags behind the on-field brilliance.
Veredicto de GamerScout
Essential for college football fans starved since NCAA 14; a solid but unfinished package for everyone else until the mode suite matures.

Acerca de EA SPORTS™ College Football 25
I went in expecting a Madden reskin with a marching band slapped on top. That is not what this is. EA SPORTS College Football 25 marks the return of a franchise that went dark for over a decade, and the team clearly felt the pressure, because the on-field product is sharp in ways Madden has not managed in years. The gameplay is fast and loose in a way that actually reflects the college game: read-option-heavy offenses, spread schemes that punish conservative play-calling, and a general tempo that feels distinct from its professional sibling. Movement, tackling, and running animations were rebuilt from the ground up, and it shows in every spin move and broken tackle. The headline mechanical additions hold up under scrutiny. The Wear and Tear system tracks cumulative fatigue across a game and into the following week, which means leaning on a star running back for 40 carries will cost you. Pre-snap recognition lets you read coverage shells and adjust hot routes using both analog sticks and the d-pad, adding a layer of strategic depth that the series never had before. The homefield advantage mechanic is genuinely uncomfortable to play against: screen shakes, missing pre-play icons, and scrambled play art when the crowd gets loud. It is the closest a football game has come to simulating what it actually feels like to play in a hostile stadium. Presentation is where College Football 25 really separates itself. Each of the 134 FBS schools has its own run-out traditions, fight songs recorded from real game-day audio, mascots, and crowd chants. Penn State's White Out looks like a White Out. Tennessee running through the Power T while Rocky Top plays is handled with genuine care. The dev team operated on the principle that every team is someone's favorite team, and that philosophy is visible in the detail work throughout. Commentary from Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit keeps things grounded in familiar broadcast language without feeling recycled. The four main modes are Dynasty, Road to Glory, Road to the College Football Playoff, and College Football Ultimate Team. Dynasty is the strongest of the group: build a coaching staff, recruit from high school and, for the first time, the transfer portal, and grind a mid-major into a contender over multiple seasons. Road to Glory casts you as a student-athlete managing GPA, campus image, and playing time alongside actual football, though a Coach Trust system that restricts your playcalling early on can grate. Ultimate Team is present and serviceable, mixing current players with historical legends. The honest criticism here is that beyond Dynasty, the mode suite feels thin, with UI roughness and features that reviewers widely noted seem built for iteration in a sequel rather than fully realized right now. Who is this for? College football fans, obviously, but also anyone who burned out on Madden and wants a football game that feels genuinely different. Players comfortable with simulation-leaning sports titles will get the most out of Dynasty. Casual fans looking for a pick-up-and-play experience will find the on-field action accessible enough, though the lack of a proper tutorial is a real gap. If you have no emotional connection to the sport or its teams, the spectacle fades faster than it does for the faithful. For everyone else, this is a confident, sometimes spectacular return.
