Bloodwatch

I went into Bloodwatch expecting a straightforward hide-and-seek horror romp, and that's mostly what it delivers. The core loop is simple: explore the island, scavenge weapons and supplies, avoid or fight off the maniacs hunting you, then locate and eliminate their leader. It's short, unpretentious, and leans into that classic "man vs. cult" tension without overthinking the story. The survival mechanics are bare-bones by design, which works for what appears to be a budget title. You'll spend most of your time searching for gear and managing encounters rather than wrestling with complex systems. Where it stumbles is in polish and pacing. The exploration can feel repetitive, and enemy AI isn't particularly threatening once you've found a weapon. It's serviceable horror-action that knows exactly how long it should be and doesn't outstay its welcome, but it won't surprise you.
