About Rare Replay
I fired up Rare Replay expecting a nostalgia trip, and that's mostly what you get: Battletoads, Jet Force Gemini, Killer Instinct, Perfect Dark, and a stack of 8-bit and 16-bit oddities that defined the studio's pre-Microsoft era. The wins are genuine, those games hold up surprisingly well, and the curated selection shows real taste. The problem is the package itself. Some titles feel randomly assembled (why include the obscure stuff?), emulation can be inconsistent, and there's no meaningful context or bonus content beyond the games themselves. You're not paying for a museum; you're paying for roms in a wrapper. Worth it if you're a Rare devotee or want to relive the 80s and 90s without hunting down cartridges. Skip it if you're expecting a comprehensive retrospective or meaningful remaster work. It's a solid vault, not a celebration. Alex, Scout Team
