Crackdown 3 (PC/Xbox One)
A decade-late sequel that trades the original's charm for destructible environments and forgettable mission design.

About Crackdown 3 (PC/Xbox One)
I went in expecting Crackdown 3 to nail the power fantasy of being an over-the-top cop in a neon city. The destruction physics are genuinely satisfying, walls crumble, vehicles disintegrate, and for a few hours that novelty carries the game. But the campaign wears thin fast. Mission structure is repetitive, voice acting is flat, and the story doesn't justify the 14-year wait since the last entry. Multiplayer demolition modes are the bright spot if you've got friends to demolish stuff with, but they don't fix the core problem: there's not enough game here to sustain engagement. Crackdown 3 works if you want 5-10 hours of pure environmental destruction and don't mind forgetting it happened. For anyone expecting the series to evolve or recapture what made the originals fun, this is a disappointing swing-and-miss. Alex, Scout Team
