You're building a cycling team from scratch, managing budgets, assigning riders to events, and setting tactics for individual stages across the 2019 UCI calendar. The core loop involves scouting talent, balancing team morale, and micromanaging who leads sprints versus climbs across La Vuelta, Tour de France, and lesser-known continental circuits. The issue is presentation. Menus are dense and unintuitive, the tutorial barely scratches the surface of stage-level tactics, and the AI opponent teams feel predictable once you understand the rating system. At Metacritic 66, it's a niche title that works only if you're already invested in cycling or comfortable spending 10+ hours learning menus. The multiplayer modes exist but the player base is tiny in 2024. If you want 1:1 cycling management with actual depth, this delivers. If you need hand-holding or flashy presentation, skip it.
