Best for strategy fans tired of point-and-click micromanagement who want something genuinely weird.

About Majesty HD (Gold Edition)
Majesty HD is a real-time strategy sim with a twist: you're a monarch managing a kingdom, but your adventurers won't take orders. Instead, you place bounties on objectives and hope greed motivates them to act. It's part city-builder, part tavern management, part controlled chaos. You'll spend as much time watching your mercenaries squabble over contracts as you will solving actual tactical puzzles. The Gold Edition bundles the Northern expansion, which adds more classes and campaign content. It's weirdly absorbing if you click with the indirect-control premise, watching a barbarian ignore a dragon because a wizard nabbed the higher bounty first is oddly compelling. The dated visuals and UI won't win awards, but if you want something genuinely different from the RTS formula, this scratches that itch.
