GamerScout Verdict
Best as a lazy afternoon co-op romp with a friend, not a deep replay investment.

About Magicka: Wizards of the Square Tablet
Magicka: Wizards of the Square Tablet is a spinoff built around the tablet-friendly spell combo system the series is known for. You combine elements on the fly to cast spells, tackle puzzles, and fight through campaigns that don't take themselves seriously. It's lighter and more casual than the original Magicka, which means less emergent hilarity but also fewer rough edges. The humor is there if you're into Paradox's brand of absurdist fantasy, and couch co-op runs are genuinely fun if you've got a friend to mock the wonky spell physics with. The catch is how lean it feels. Level variety is thin, the difficulty doesn't ramp much, and you'll sense you're playing a mobile game ported to PC rather than built for it. It's not bad, just small. Pick this up if you want a goofy afternoon distraction with spell-casting and don't expect the baroque madness of the original.
