GamerScout Verdict
Best for group gatherings on Switch; skip if you're dancing alone.

About Just Dance 2020
Just Dance 2020 is the eleventh entry in Ubisoft's long-running rhythm franchise, and it does exactly what you'd expect: you hold a Joy-Con and flail around trying to match a dancer's moves on screen. The motion detection is forgiving enough that you don't need perfect form, which keeps things accessible for couch co-op chaos. That's really where this game lives, it's a party tool, not a skill-based rhythm game. Solo play has zero substance; the song selection (pop hits, licensed tracks, and some licensed meme moments) is fine but not exceptional for 2020. The gameplay loop never evolves across the modes, and unless your friend group actively wants to sweat it out, you're paying for novelty. Fine as a one-off purchase for a Switch that sees a lot of casual multiplayer, but don't expect depth or longevity.
