Duck Season [VR]

I went in expecting a straightforward VR shooter and got something weirder and more charming. Duck Season wraps a classic arcade lightgun premise in a summer-vacation narrative where a sketchy cartridge turns your living room into a surreal hunting ground. The guns feel responsive, the ducks are absurdly animated, and there's genuine comedy in how the game escalates from innocent blasting into genuinely unsettling territory. It's short and doesn't outstay its welcome, which suits the one-day-rental framing perfectly. The catch: this is a niche VR experience that lives entirely on its novelty and tone. If you're not charmed by the lo-fi graphics or the lo-fi humor, there's not much mechanical depth to fall back on. But if you want something weird and memorable for a single VR session, Duck Season absolutely delivers.
