I tried this expecting a game. Turns out Control is Valve's answer to remote streaming: it lets you play your entire Steam library from another device on your network or over the internet. The pitch sounds great until you hit the reality. Input latency makes anything faster than a turn-based strategy unplayable. Network quality has to be rock-solid, and even then, compression artifacts wreck visual fidelity. If you're running it locally on a strong WiFi setup, it works fine for slower games. For anything with reflex demands, it's a non-starter. The app itself is barebones, just a launcher, no bells or whistles. It does exactly what it claims, which is less impressive than it sounds. Useful as a second-screen tool for strategy or story games when someone else owns the TV. Not worth your time otherwise.
