From a build-order perspective, the pack slots neatly into mid-to-late loadout planning. The weapons are not replacements for your high-caliber stalwarts on dangerous or large game; they are specialization tools. That distinction matters. Bringing a classic lever-action or single-shot into a session changes how you scout, how close you commit to getting, and which animal classes make sense as targets.
