Surveillance Simulator

I went in expecting a puzzle game and found something closer to a digital screensaver with tasks attached. Surveillance Simulator drops you in front of a multi-camera setup where you watch real-time feeds, complete minor assignments (track movement, identify items, verify activity), and otherwise exist in the quiet space between frames. There's no urgency, no fail states screaming at you, just the soft hum of monitoring equipment and the option to light a virtual cigarette and zone out. The appeal here is hyper-specific: if you find spreadsheet work meditative and slow-burn games compelling, this delivers on that promise without pretense. The camera angles, the dull routine of surveillance work, the occasional moment where something actually happens on-screen - it's all deliberately paced. But this is also a tiny, niche title with minimal narrative scaffolding and no depth system to sink hours into. It works as a 2-3 hour atmospheric experience, not a time sink. If you want strategic camera placement or complex surveillance puzzles, look elsewhere. If you want to experience what actual security work feels like minus the paycheck, this is your game.
