Project:EagleBeak

I've seen plenty of indie projects try to mash puzzle, action, and strategy together, and Project:EagleBeak lands somewhere between ambitious and underbaked. You're ANN, a prisoner in a Matrix-style alien laboratory, tasked with finding an exit through environmental puzzles and tactical decision-making. The core idea is solid: a confined sci-fi setting where your choices about resource management and exploration direction genuinely matter. The problem is execution. Early Access status is generous here; this feels more like a tech demo with multiple game modes bolted together than a cohesive experience. Mechanics don't always talk to each other cleanly, and the tutorial assumes too much familiarity with the genre conventions it's trying to blend. If you're the type who enjoys poking at unfinished work and have patience for jank, there's a skeleton worth watching. The puzzle design shows promise, and the strategic layer could deepen considerably with polish. Right now, though, it's a patience tax. Come back when it's out of Early Access and the seams are tighter.
