I'll be straight with you: if you're here, you've already decided whether Predator: Hunting Grounds is your kind of game, and now you're asking whether this DLC is worth stacking on top. Fair question. The Cleopatra pack drops in a new Premium Predator class built around one of the franchise's more intriguing figures - the only Predator on record to have bested Dutch in combat and chosen to walk away, which is exactly the kind of mythology the game's audio-tape lore system rewards you for digging into. You also get early access to a Smart Disc weapon skin, though it's worth flagging that the skin became earnable through normal gameplay after October 2021, so the "early access" hook is purely historical at this point. The base game it plugs into is a 4-vs-1 asymmetric shooter: one player stalks through jungle canopy as the Predator using thermal vision and treetop traversal, while a fireteam of up to four OWLF operatives completes objectives on the ground - assassinations, data extractions, item recoveries - before scrambling to extract alive. The Predator is genuinely threatening but surprisingly fragile in a straight fight, which forces a tactical cat-and-mouse that keeps matches tense in a way that pure deathmatch never would. Playing as either side has a distinct feel, and that asymmetry is the game's biggest strength. That said, the criticisms that followed the original 2020 launch haven't fully disappeared. Mission variety on the fireteam side is thin - you will run similar objective loops more than once before the novelty wears off. Enemy AI soldiers feel more like set dressing than a real threat, which undercuts the sense of danger outside of the Predator itself. Balance between the two sides has historically been a recurring complaint among the community, and while post-launch patches have improved things considerably - the game plays noticeably smoother and snappier than at release - it still leans harder toward rewarding Predator mains in its progression unlocks. So where does the Cleopatra DLC sit in all of this? It's a cosmetic-and-class pack, not a content drop. You're not getting new maps, new game modes, or new mission types. What you get is a distinct Predator identity to wear into matches, with the lore framing to make it feel earned rather than arbitrary. If you're a player who logs serious hours in the Predator role and wants more ways to express that, it's a focused, sensible purchase. If you're primarily a fireteam player, there's very little here that changes your experience.
