Dying Light - The Following Expansion Pack DLC (Uncut)
Traded rooftop sprinting for open-field buggy mayhem - and somehow that swap makes Dying Light feel fresh all over again. If you logged hours in Harran, this is where Kyle Crane's story actually gets strange.
Veredicto de GamerScout
Essential for Dying Light fans who want a darker story and open-field vehicle chaos on top of the base game's formula.

Acerca de Dying Light - The Following Expansion Pack DLC (Uncut)
I went into The Following half-expecting a glorified map pack, and came out having spent more time mowing down Volatiles from a customizable dirt buggy than I had doing any parkour in weeks. That pivot is the whole pitch. Techland took the claustrophobic urban crawl of Harran and traded it for a rural countryside that is, by all accounts, larger than everything the base game offered combined. The shift in setting is not a gimmick - it is a fundamental redesign of how you move, survive, and fight. The new area sends Kyle Crane out beyond the quarantine walls to investigate a cult called the Children of the Sun, whose leader may hold the secret to actual immunity from the Harran virus. The story leans into a mystery tone that the base game rarely attempted, and while it is not going to win any writing awards, it earns its ending. To gain the trust of the local survivors, you work through a reputation system - side quests are not optional filler here, they are the gate. Players who want to sprint through the main quest alone will bounce off this structure hard. If you enjoy methodically working a region and prefer your open worlds dense with errand-type content, it clicks. The buggy is the star. It comes with its own dedicated skill tree, and you can bolt on spikes, flamethrowers, UV lights, and electrical cages as you progress. Keeping it running requires constant scavenging - siphoning fuel from abandoned vehicles, scrounging suspension parts, managing engine wear. It feeds directly into Dying Light's existing loot-everything compulsion without feeling tacked on. Parkour does not disappear, but it takes a back seat; if the rooftop acrobatics were your only reason to play, expect that adjustment to sting a little. The open landscape simply does not offer the same density of ledges and handholds that the city did, and a handful of critics at launch flagged that trade-off as a genuine loss. It is a fair complaint. What the countryside gives you in exchange is the tension of tearing across open fields at night with Volatiles closing in on the roll cage - a specific kind of dread the base game never quite produced. Content-wise, the expansion sits somewhere between ten and twenty hours depending on how deep you go into side quests, buggy challenges, and airdrop hunting. The legendary skill tree, which stacks 250 levels of incremental perks onto your existing character, gives returning players a real reason to keep grinding after credits. The Enhanced Edition version of the base game also folded in a Nightmare difficulty, a bow and crossbow, and improved enemy AI, so the full package is noticeably tighter than the original 2015 release. Minor AI quirks still surface, and the shift away from parkour will alienate a specific subset of the audience, but both are known quantities at this point rather than surprises. Bottom line: if you finished Dying Light and wanted more without retreading the same streets, The Following delivers a genuinely different second act. It is the rare expansion that changes your primary verb - running becomes driving - and pulls it off without breaking what made the original worth playing.
