GamerScout Verdict
Solid faction design undermined by sparse multiplayer and unforgiving UI, worth a look only if you tolerate learning curves and playing against AI.

About WAR PARTY
I spent enough time with War Party to see what Rogueside was aiming for: a focused real-time strategy game stripped back to resource gathering, unit production, and asymmetric faction design. Three playable factions (Life, Death, Balance trees) mean your economy and army composition change drastically per run. The core loop of scouting, expanding, and defending against dinosaur packs and rival tribes works, and there's genuine decision-making in how you spec your tech tree. But here's the catch: the UI is clunky, hotkeys aren't obvious, and there's no campaign to ease you in, multiplayer lobbies are your only real option, and they're not exactly crowded. If you're the type who enjoys watching AI opponents while learning build orders solo, you'll find something here. For everyone else, the small player base and lack of single-player progression make this a tough recommend.
