The Political Machine 2016 lets you create a candidate from scratch or play as a real politician, then grind through a campaign full of speeches, talk show appearances, and backroom operatives. It's a turn-based strategy game where you manage resources, poll numbers, and regional support across the map. The appeal is obvious: campaign strategy nerds and political junkies get a sandbox to play armchair kingmaker. The catch is that this is a multiplayer-focused title from 2016 with a tiny active playerbase. Single-player against AI exists, but it feels thin and doesn't justify the price alone. If you can wrangle friends into a hotseat game or find anyone online, there's genuine fun in the cut-throat chaos of a full multiplayer race. But if you're going solo, you'll hit the gameplay ceiling fast.
