GamerScout Verdict
For stealth-sniper completionists willing to tolerate dated presentation and uneven level design for the core satisfaction of long-range takedowns.

About Sniper: Ghost Warrior Trilogy
I went in expecting a compiled remaster of the original trilogy, and what I got instead was three distinct stealth-sniper experiences with wildly inconsistent quality. The first game nails the core appeal: long-range takedowns, wind calculations, and the satisfaction of a perfectly-timed headshot from 300 meters out. It's methodical, tense, and rewards patience over twitch reflexes. The sequels lean harder into gadgets and infiltration, which works when level design supports multiple approaches, but often feels clunky when it doesn't. What kills the package is presentation. These are old games, and they show it. Animation is stiff, AI can be exploitable, and some missions feel padded with tedious traversal between sniping zones. If you've exhausted every comparable stealth-sniper title and have a high tolerance for rough edges, the core sniping loop is still here. But there's no compelling reason to pick this over Hitman's precision design or even replaying the original Splinter Cell games. It's functional, occasionally good, rarely great.
