Men of War II

Men of War II is a real-time tactical game where you direct squads through missions with a focus on physics-driven destruction and environmental manipulation. You're not just issuing move orders - you're managing ammo, morale, and exploiting cover that can crumble or burn. The gameplay rewards patience and creativity: use explosives to collapse buildings on enemies, flank via rubble, adapt when your planned route gets blocked by collateral damage. It's closer to an RTS with a zoom lens than a traditional shooter. The catch is that Men of War II demands your full attention. Micromanagement can feel tedious during longer engagements, and the UI isn't always intuitive about which unit is selected or what order just executed. There's no hand-holding, which fits the hardcore audience it's chasing but will frustrate anyone wanting casual squad direction. If you're the type who spent hundreds of hours in Company of Heroes or the original Men of War, this will click instantly. Everyone else should try a demo first.
