Compare Eternity: The Last Unicorn prices across trusted key stores and find the best deal. Developed by Void Studios. Published by Fulqrum Publishing. Released on 3/5/2019. Available on PC. Genres: Action, Adventure, Indie, RPG. Metacritic score: 39/100.

A Norse mythology RPG with ambition that doesn't quite stick the landing, hampered by clunky combat and pacing issues that wear thin fast.

I went in wanting to love Eternity. A 2019 indie RPG built on Norse lore, featuring elves, mythic locations, and the promise of choices that matter should be catnip for someone like me. The worldbuilding has bones - the setting feels genuinely thought through, and there are moments where the writing hints at something deeper. But the execution stumbles. Combat feels sluggish and repetitive, lacking the tactical snap or the narrative weight that would make encounters feel consequential. Character interactions lack the punch needed to carry a 40-hour runtime, and the quest structure devolves into padding that neither feeds the story nor justifies the time spent. This is a game that needed either tighter scope or sharper writing to justify its ambitions. If you're desperate for indie Norse RPGs and have bottomless patience for janky mechanics, you might mine some enjoyment here. Otherwise, your time is better spent elsewhere. Monika, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Ambitious Norse fantasy that fails to justify its runtime; best skipped unless indie jank is your comfort zone.
